What is a 'visiting teaching' printable for? Just curious. I am not Mormon obviously. :-)
Good question Catherine!
The women in the LDS church are called to serve one another as Visiting
Teachers. We are given this sacred assignment:
1. to learn and know the sisters we visit
2. to minister to them through regular contacts
3. to learn of their needs and offer appropriate assistance
4. to look for specific ways to help, and
5. to share and testify of gospel doctrines.
We are given themes each month, and then we are instructed to pray over the
messages (for instance, this month's message is about provident
living)
and share them when appropriate. Since it is a calling, often, we are called
to serve sisters that need us in their lives for whatever reason. It is a
beautiful way for us to discuss the gospel, and it often develops into
lifelong friendships.

Catherine you will probably never see this but incase you do and still don't know what a visiting teaching printable is...here you go. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints (aka Mormon s) there is an organization called Relief Society. It is for all the women in the church. In relief society we are assigned another woman in the group (sister is what we call them) with whom we team up with and visit a couple sisters each month. We are assigned who to visit and asked to make sure everything is okay with them. We also teach them a short spiritual message. That is where these printables come in. It is just a little something extra to remind them of the message they learned. It can also be used if you are unable to visit one of your sisters to let them know you are thinking of them.
